Pierce County cancels felons' voting registrations

Having belatedly learned that a few dozen felons had illegally voted in Pierce County during the last general election, the county auditor, prosecutor and canvassing board had little difficulty in removing those people from the voter registration rolls.

According to The News Tribune, the original list contained the names of 77 felons who were apparently disqualified from voting as a result of their criminal convictions.

A handful were eliminated from the list, and the voter registrations of 73 were cancelled.

Now that wasn't so hard, was it?

For those who are keeping count of the claimed votes for Gregoire or Rossi reported in the news media, one disqualified felon claimed to have voted for Gregoire and one for Rossi.
