Obama wants the debate to stop

Is Obama trying to imitate "The Goracle" now?

According to an AP article in today's Washington Post:

"The time for talk is over. The time for action is now," declared Obama as the Senate plodded through a fourth day of debate on the legislation.

Wasn't Obama supposed to be a wonderful talker? Why does he want the talking to stop? Is he having a hard time holding his own in the debate?

If Obama is smart enough to know and respect the difference between a dictatorship and a democratic republic, why doesn't he want the Congress to carry out its legislative deliberations in a reasonably careful way? It's not as though the so-called stimulus bill is a small bit of spending with no big importance to our country.
